"Established back in 2017, this Meetup was first launched to introduce both newcomers and veteran players to the 5th edition of Dungeons and Dragons. Types of Sessions Currently Being Held Character Creation: Starting from scratch. Making characters from the books OR from DnD Byond. Character Building: Take characters you've already made or started at Character Building Sessions, completing character creation, leveling them up, making changes, etc Newbie Focuses: Think the tutorial level on a video game. The focus is on learning with the adventure as a backdrop rather than focusing on the adventure. We pause to go over rules, ask questions, etc. Newbie Friendly: similar to Newbie Focused, but we flip it to putting the adventure first with being able to pause to answer questions.     Magic the Gathering - Thursday Night Commander Please remember to join the event with the Magic the Gathering Companion app. If you don't have the app, please download and log in or setup a Wizards account here Receive a drawing ticket for joining the event - we will draw for assorted promotional items twice during the event. Receive a blue drawing ticket for every $5 you spend (to a maximum of 10 tickets) - we will draw for things like playmats, deck boxes, etc. No more than 4 players per table This is a sanctioned event - only tournament legal cards can be used

    R&B Standard Showdown Series Starting Friday, August 14th and every Friday through September 18th we will host Standard Showdown. Throughout the series we will track match points and award 2 prizes  - 1 to 1st place, and 1 randomly with tickets based on attendance. The winners of each weekly event will also receive this Promo Card: Details: $14 entry per event Each event will be 3 rounds Weekly Prizes: 1 Promo pack per player (foil promo for that night's winner), and 1 Standard Play booster per match win, your choice! Players are expected to be knowledgeable of the format and what is expected with this level of play.
