"Established back in 2017, this Meetup was first launched to introduce both newcomers and veteran players to the 5th edition of Dungeons and Dragons. Types of Sessions Currently Being Held Character Creation: Starting from scratch. Making characters from the books OR from DnD Byond. Character Building: Take characters you've already made or started at Character Building Sessions, completing character creation, leveling them up, making changes, etc Newbie Focuses: Think the tutorial level on a video game. The focus is on learning with the adventure as a backdrop rather than focusing on the adventure. We pause to go over rules, ask questions, etc. Newbie Friendly: similar to Newbie Focused, but we flip it to putting the adventure first with being able to pause to answer questions.
