Update: Events Canceled This Week

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are canceling all events for Monday, January 31st through Thursday, February 3rd. We will also be closing at 6PM on each of those days.

As of now, we plan to be open regular hours with normal events beginning Friday, February 4th. If this changes, we will make an announcement no less than 24 hours in advance.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We appreciate each and every one of you.

Happy New Year!

We made it to 2022! Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout 2021.

Head’s up – We will be closed January 2nd-9th so that we can all rest, relax, and recharge. Our online store will still be open for business and I (Nick) will be here a couple of days for anyone who would like to order online and do a curbside pickup.

Also, as we move into the new year, there will be some changes to in-store events which we post about once we work out the details. Keep an eye out for that in the next few days.

Once again, THANK YOU to our awesome customers for making Rune & Board your board game, RPG, card game, miniatures, etc destination.

We’re turning 5!

Can you believe it’s been almost 5 years since we opened? If it weren’t for the calendar reminding me, I’m not sure I would believe it.

I’d like to thank everyone who has supported us along the way. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know many of you.

As a huge THANK YOU, starting today we will have 12 days of deals, each of which will run through December 24th. Follow our Instagram and Facebook for details!

Magic Prerelease – In Person Events!

We are excited to announce the return of in-person events, starting with Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Prerelease. There are 5 in-person events scheduled, with a maximum of 16 players per event. To reserve your spot, you can call, stop in, or purchase online.

If you would like to participate in a prerelease, but are not comfortable with in-person events, we are also offering an At-Home Prerelease to enjoy with friends and family. These can be purchased in store, over the phone, or online.

Note: with the return of WPN Sanctioned in-store play, you will need to have a Wizards account to participate. You can register for one here. We also encourage you to check out the Magic Companion App for Android and iOS will allow you to join the event more easily.

Building Maintenance

As many of you know, we’ve had a few building issues recently that are getting fixed. We also have some our own maintenance to take care of before we can safely host any in-store play. For these reasons, we will be closed on Monday, June 21st and Tuesday, June 22nd.

Once we are done, we will begin planning for reopening our play space for private groups and small events.

Response to CDC’s Facemask Guidance

Today the CDC announced new guidance for facemasks. Specifically, their guidance now states that if you have been fully vaccinated (which includes the 2-week period following your 2nd dose), you no longer need to wear a facemask.

While we certainly look forward to the day when we no longer need to wear a facemask, we will continue to require them for anyone coming into our store. If you’re wondering why, there are a couple of key reasons:

  1. Washington County was recently downgraded to HIGH RISK
  2. Many of our customers, as well as some of our staff, are immunocompromised which puts them at higher risk

If you would prefer to not wear a facemask, we do offer curbside pickup through our online store, as well as delivery within a 10 mile radius of our address.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

December/January Update: We Survived 2020!

2020 is almost over we’re still here. A huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful customers who have supported us throughout this difficult year. I know I keep saying this, but without all of you we wouldn’t be here.

It’s also our 4th anniversary this week. In the past we’ve had a big sale to celebrate, but this year we decided to combine it with our post-Christmas Inventory Reduction Sale. Stay tuned for awesome specials December 26th-31st.

Since 2020 has been a crazy year, we all need some time for Rest & Relaxation to recharge. So, at the beginning of January we will be closed the following days:

  • 1st: New Year’s Day
  • 2nd-3rd: taking inventory
  • 4th-10th: much needed R&R

We will reopen on Monday, January 11th.

Thank you all for your understanding and support throughout the year and into the next.

September Update – THANK YOU; New TCG Pricing Structure

According to the calendar, we’re almost through September. We’ve had a crazy year so far, and have survived thus far. For that we give a huge THANK YOU to all of you, our loyal customers. Without y’all I’m not sure where we would be.

September also brings a change to Magic: the Gathering by introducing a new set to the Standard format, and rotating out 4 older sets. With this rotation we decided it was time to revisit and update our pricing structure, specifically for booster boxes. Instead of setting a flat price that was discounted below what would be full price (if you were to multiply the price of a pack times the packs per box), we will be applying a 20% discount to sealed booster boxes In-Store and Online. This results in slightly lower pricing for you. Additionally, we have also added our TCG pack discount (10% off 3 or more) to our online store. You just need to add 3 or more TCG booster packs to your cart and you’ll see the discount. These discounts will be good for any mix of TCG boosters.

If, for some reason, these discounts aren’t working for you, please let us know.

And once again, THANK YOU for all your support.

R&B Clearance Sale!

rb clearance f-m

There’s a whole slew of new games coming out over the next few weeks, so we need to make room. This means incredible deals for you!

Come in and check out our Clearance Sale – Yellow Tagged items are 30-40% off their original price.

Some minor adjustments

We’ve been open now for a little more than a month. In that time we have realized that we need to make some minor adjustments to schedules.

Beginning this weekend, we will be opening at noon on Saturdays and Sundays instead of 11:00am. We found that no one was coming in before noon and we were struggling to get things done – trips to Costco and other errands which always seem to take longer than expected. There are exceptions to this open time change: events like the Warmachine tournament on February 18th, or other special events.

Magic Draft on Tuesdays will start at 6:30pm so that it will be done closer to our closing time of 9pm.
